The Catholic University of America

Welcome to the Voice Division

The largest classical division of the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music, the voice division offers degrees in vocal performance and vocal pedagogy at undergraduate and graduate levels. With approximately 60 students, the voice division also teaches students in the music education program with a voice concentration.

Each year, the division performs two fully staged operas, evenings of opera scenes performed by the Opera Workshop class, recitals, master classes and webcasts. Students study with teachers who have vast performing experience and are still working actively in the field as soloists at major opera companies, with symphonies, and in recital.
